LPN to BSN

The LPN to BS in Nursing Bridge Program is designed to transition the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to the role of a baccalaureate prepared Registered Nurse. Graduates of this program are prepared to meet societal healthcare needs in a variety of settings. Legal, ethical and professional standards guide the student in the art and science of nursing. Respect for diversity, social responsibility, and a commitment to excellence in holistic nursing care are emphasized. At the Moment, Program is being offered ONLY to LPN/LVN graduate from USA/CANADA.

Curriculum

  • 01Synthesize knowledge from the liberal arts, sciences and nursing as a foundation for safe client-centered care
  • 02Incorporate basic organizational and systems leadership to provide quality care and patient safety
  • 03Incorporate evidence-based nursing practice including current research and critical thinking in the management of client care
  • 04Analyze information using information technology to improve patient outcomes
  • 05Examine the impact of health care policy, finance, and regulatory environments on nursing practice
  • 06Integrate principles of effective communication in professional practice
  • 07Synthesize knowledge of health promotion and disease/injury prevention in designing population focused care
  • 08Integrate professional standards of moral, ethical, and legal conduct into nursing practice

Career Opportunities

Once the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and the NCLEX-RN exams are completed, graduates are eligible to work as a Registered Nurse in various healthcare settings.(e.g., acute care hospitals, primary Healthcare settings such as Rehabilitation centers, and long-term care such as Nursing Homes), seek nursing leadership roles, and apply to graduate programs in nursing.

Admission Requirements

  • Current LPN license in good standing.
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN Program (Transcript required)
  • Successful completion of St. Austin University nursing ethical code (Offered online through our website)
  • Two letters of recommendation; one most be from a current employer on professional letterhead.
  • In Addition, Applicants must also complete all St Austin International University Admission Criteria
